Laird Utility began as a limited capsule collection for womenswear, launched in 2022 as a pop-up within our Covent Garden store. What started as an experiment quickly gained momentum. The response was overwhelming, and demand soon followed for both men’s and women’s lines.
Fuelled by this enthusiasm, we moved Laird Utility online, offering it exclusively through our e-commerce platform. From the beginning, we stayed true to the principles that have guided Laird Hatters since 2009: sustainability, versatility, and a commitment to British craftsmanship. Every piece in the collection is designed to be practical yet stylish. Clothing that's made for real lives, with edge and authenticity.
Now, in 2025, we’re proud to bring Laird Utility menswear into our newest retail space: 21A Jermyn Street, SW1Y 6LT, opened in March. This marks a new milestone for the brand, expanding our vision into tailored, hard-wearing garments that speak to both urban and country living.
